About Me
I’m fascinated by the complex interplay between energy availability, hormonal status, and recovery in exercising women. In my research, I explore how different energy interventions influence recovery from endurance exercise, with a particular focus on naturally menstruating women and oral contraceptive users. My goal is to contribute to a better understanding of female physiology and help develop strategies to support athletic performance and health.
As a former professional steeplechaser and 13-time collegiate All-American, running has shaped much of my life. I’m passionate about empowering young female athletes and learning how to prevent energy deficiency in sport. In my free time, I love to spend time outdoors running, hiking, skiing, or reading a good book.
