WHO CC HL Affiliate Researcher
There are opportunities to become an Affiliate Research Fellow at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Literacy (WHO CC HL) at the Department of Health and Sport Sciences of the TUM School of Medicine and Health, joining an international team working on health literacy research, policy, and practice. As Affiliate Research Fellows, external researchers can contribute their expertise to ongoing projects, collaborate in global networks, and support the Centre’s mission to advance health literacy across populations, sectors, and life stages.
Tina Purnat

Tina D. Purnat is a Doctor of Public Health candidate and Prajna Leadership Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. With over two decades of international experience, she has led major initiatives at the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and in academic and policy settings to modernize how public health systems use data, technology, and evidence.
Tina’s work focuses on strengthening public health systems and shaping policies that are adaptive, data-informed, and grounded in a deep understanding of societal context. She has worked across academia, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the frontlines of public health organizations, consistently pushing the boundaries of health information and evidence, digital public health, AI technologies, and addressing health misinformation. Tina believes modernizing the business of public health means integrating cutting-edge technology and human-centered approaches to solving the world’s most wicked problems. She is a sought-after conference speaker and academic lecturer, especially in health misinformation and digital public health and AI.
Tina is Associate editor of JMIR Infodemiology, and advisor to editorial board of Health Promotion International journal.

Kevin Dadaczynski

Kevin Dadaczynski is a professor of health education at the University of Potsdam. His research focuses on health promotion, health literacy and digital public health. A particular emphasis is on setting-based health promotion and prevention in and with schools. In this context, he is involved, among other things, in the development, implementation and evaluation of complex interventions for different target groups. In addition to students and teachers, another focus is on school principals.
Furthermore, his research concentrates on how digital media (e.g. through game-based approaches) can be used to promote, maintain and restore health. In addition, Prof. Dadaczynski heads the German network of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study.
