Siemen Kampen-Schmidt née Schmidt

Professional career
Siemen Kampen-Schmidt studied sports management at the German Sport University Cologne and the SRH University Heidelberg. The focus of his studies was on financing, accounting and corporate strategy in professional sports. During the course of his studies, Siemen Schmidt worked for the management consultancy Kienbaum and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in South Africa, among others. From 2017-2022, he was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Düsseldorf and, most recently as Manager & Authorized Signatory, responsible for the strategic, operational and financial restructuring of companies in crisis. Since 2022, he is the Advisor to the CEO at premium fashion brand FALKE, advising the Chief Executive Officer on strategic issues. Siemen Kampen-Schmidt is an active soccer player and long-suffering supporter of 1.FC Köln.
Research interests
In the context of his dissertation, Siemen Kampen-Schmidt deals with the strategic restructuring of soccer companies. His research focuses on the effects of increasing customer and fan centricity on the behavior of soccer fans in Germany.
