Teaching and Research Stay at the University of Porto
Sport- und Gesundheitswissenschaften |
The University of Porto, with its Faculty of Sport Science, hosted a teaching and research stay by our staff member Ben Schulze. From mid-February to early June 2026, he taught and conducted research at the Faculdade de Desporto.
Within the research group of Prof. Luísa Estriga in the Handball Department (Andebol), he gained valuable insights into the working methods at a Portuguese university. In particular, he was able to gain further experience in teaching and working with students.
He also held numerous professional discussions with the Portuguese Handball Federation.
The teaching stay was funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union through the TUM Global & Alumni Office. Many thanks for the support!
The networking between the International Offices of the Faculdade de Desporto in Porto and TUM creates clear added value for the future exchange of students and underlines the sustainable impact of this staff mobility.
Potential publications as well as further project ideas in the field of youth handball were further developed.
A warm “Obrigado” to Prof. Luísa Estriga and her team for their hospitality and the international exchange!
