As an academic partner of the German Ski Association (DSV), we work closely with one of Germany’s largest sports federations and create synergies for the advancement of both science and practice. Our aim is to conduct applied research and user-oriented dissemination on key topics in sport, and to contribute knowledge that can be used to enhance athletic performance.
Together with EGYM and the TUM Prevention Center, we established the Science Gym. State-of-the-art strength training equipment provided by EGYM supports the implementation of our intervention-based projects. Based on the core facility principle, the equipment is available for use by all research groups within the Department of Health and Sport Sciences.

Together with the German Sport University Cologne and Chemnitz University of Technology, we are developing and testing wearable-based training systems for real-time monitoring of physical training in cancer aftercare as part of a sub-study.
