„THANKS for this week! This is how teaching should always be!” – SG and MRI in joint project week

To bring together the teaching of the departments that will soon be transformed into a school, a joint project week was offered at the beginning of this year’s winter semester. The week covered the assessment and monitoring of motor function in neurology.

A small group of students from the studies Health Science, Sport & Exercise Science, as well as Medicine developed sets of different sensor-supported functional tests and validated them with a sample of persons with multiple sclerosis. This was accompanied by an excursion to a neurorehabilitation facility and keynote lectures covering sports (Jan Kern), health (Stephanie Schmidle), and medicine (Lilian Aly). The organizers Philipp Gulde (SG), Friederike Schmidt-Graf (MRI), and Lilian Aly (MRI) were very satisfied with the outcome of the week and the enthusiasm of the participants; and hope to keep on complying with feedback like “Please more cooperation of sport science, health science, and medicine! It highly motivated me and showed me a new direction in my studies. Dr. Best would recommend this course!” in the future.
