Prof. Dr. Joachim Hermsdörfer and his project coworker Nadia Amir Shemiraniha visited the working group of Dr. Pavel Lindberg at the Inserm Institut de Psychiatrie et Neurosciences Paris – Université Paris Cité from April 11th to 14th, 2022. The visit served the continuation of the collaborative project COGMOS (Cognitive motor interdependence and its role for hand motor recovery in stroke) and was supported by BayFrance (Bayerisch-Französisches Hochschulzentrum).
During the four day visit, the relevant projects of the two groups on persons with schizophrenia and stroke were presented and discussed, possible limitations of the previous procedures were analyzed, and a search strategy for a systematic review of the current state of research on the effect of dual task on upper extremities in stroke patients and elderly was prepared. In addition, the visitors had a chance to experience the methods employed by the working group of Dr. Pavel Lindberg, such as devices for testing finger force control, tablet-based test batteries of fine motor control and the eye-tracking device.
