Kinematics

Video- or movement analyses can be used in various fields and thus are an important measurement method to examine athletic or pathological movement patterns. Using anthropometric models, it is possible to measure, e.g., the range of motion of different joints and their corresponding angular velocity and acceleration. With specific software, it is possible to measure other analog signals like EMG or force signals synchronously. Kinematic measurements are essential components for inverse-dynamic calculations.
