Well-fed, in motion and stress-free, we launched our virtual health promotion offerings at the beginning of the year as part of the "National and International Health Regions" seminar.
On January 17 and 19, 2022, we, 30 Bachelor students in Health Sciences and our lecturers Sabine Kesting and Katharina Appel, opened the new year together with the company "Bayerngas GmbH" with over 25 virtual health offers.
We designed our courses with the employees of Bayerngas GmbH in a variety of ways. Live sessions and live videos with a duration of 10 to 30 minutes were presented via "Zoom"; selected offers can still be accessed by participants via video-on-demand using a video platform. In addition, a digital brochure with further information on the presented offers was made available to the employees of Bayerngas GmbH as a follow-up to the health campaign.
In the following, the individual student teams focusing on nutrition, exercise and stress management report on their respective courses and the associated personal experiences:
"In the case of the nutrition topic, the goal was to combine theoretical knowledge about healthy foods with delicious recipes. The program included recipe ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner or for healthy snacks in between meals, which are suitable for both the home office and the office. There were also additional offerings on 'How can I boost my immune system?' and a small guidebook with the most important tips for your next shopping trip." - Student Team Nutrition
"We did a good job of getting Bayerngas employees' daily routine going in the exercise group. With a 'Fit in the Day' and many different exercise breaks, we showed how well and easily you can integrate a few minutes of exercise into your daily work routine. We also held workshops on 'Correct Lifting' and 'Ergonomics in the Workplace' and covered even more areas of movement with yoga and strenuous strength and coordination workouts. We enjoyed the hands-on insight and working out as a group." - Student Movement Team
"As a team, responsible for the relaxation of the employees of Bayerngas GmbH, we really went all out to create a virtual, relaxing atmosphere.
We found ourselves not only as experts for meditation exercises, yoga, sound journeys, knowledge transfer, etc., but also as directors, video editors and zoom professionals. Hand in hand, we were able to create such exciting health days and are now mighty proud of it." - Stress management student team
Responsible for the organization and technology, we have once again experienced how crucial good communication and the commitment of all participants are for a smooth process. Therefore, we as the student team organization would like to thank the students, all employees of Bayerngas GmbH and especially our lecturers Sabine Kesting and Katharina Appel for the great cooperation.
