The Sport Psychology group is primarily concerned with cognition, emotion, and self-regulation in different contexts of sport. In teaching, we are involved in all study programs of the department. We are regularly seeking applications for internships:
You should
- Study for or have a degree in sport science, psychology, education, a related social or behavioral science discipline,
- Be available for a period of at least 12 weeks for a “full-time internship” (at least 20 hrs/ week),
- Be able to communicate proficiently in English.
We offer
- Collaboration in an international team with diverse research interests around sport and health psychology and extensive responsibilities and experience in university teaching,
- Opportunities to gain insights into working as a sport psychologist in academia, get to know diverse research topics and approaches, and take responsibility for small research projects.

Responsibilities
- In teaching
- Supporting seminar groups in the systematic preparation and design of (inter-)active teaching units
- Design of teaching materials and opportunities to review students' learning levels.
- In applied sport psychology
- Design and maintenance of a database of sport psychological tests and questionnaires
- Creation of mini-assessments
- In research
- Preparation and testing of psychophysiological measurement and testing procedures
- Collaboration in one of the following projects,
- "Gender and Diversity in Sport and Exercise Psychology Publications,” including literature research, conducting and analyzing surveys and interviews
- "Internal vs. External Focus of Attention when Learning a Simple Motor Sequence," including preparation, implementation, and analysis of a laboratory experiment.
- “Self-Presentation Concerns in Sport,” including preparation of an online survey, data collection, and data analysis

Responsibilities
- In teaching
- Designing instructional materials as well as opportunities to review student learning.
- Supporting the advancement of student competencies via structured feedback.
- In applied sport psychology
- Design and maintenance of tools for (automated) evaluation of sport psychology tests and questionnaires
- Creation of mini-reviews
- In research
- Preparation and testing of questionnaire studies via unipark
- Collaboration in one of the following projects, including literature research, conducting and evaluating surveys and interviews
- "Gender and Diversity in Sport and Exercise Psychology Publications,”
- “Self-Presentation Concerns in Sport,” including preparation of an online survey, data collection, and data analysis
- “Mental Health of Elite Student Athletes”, including curation of an online survey, data analysis, report writing
An internship in the field of sport psychology will facilitate your understanding for the connection between the execution of sports activities and psychological aspects.

An internship in the field of sport psychology will give you the possibility to get to know a new and dynamic field of application of psychology. The main focus is on psychological aspects of human behaviour in athletic performance situations.
