From the 14th to the 18th June the congress of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports took place at the German Sport University in Cologne (www.isbs2017.com). The ISBS congress is the main in the Sport Biomechanics field and this year, our department participated with three oral presentations held by Veronica Bessone, Christoph Koeble and Johannes Petrat.
Veronica presented the topic "Biomechanical characteristics related to poling propulsive effectiveness in cross-country skiing V2 skating technique" (V. Bessone; F. Paternoster; M. Stanglmeier; M. Veith; R. Schuster; A. Schwirtz; W. Seiberl), Christoph "Functional adaptations in isokinetic performance and shoulder mobility in elite ultimate frisbee players" (C. Koeble ; W. Seiberl), while Johannes had a talk on "Improving performance in juvenile ski jumping: optimization of ski angles in the flight phase" (J. Petrat; V. Bessone).
Together with the Biomechanics in Sports group there were also Matthias Olvermann and Hannes Frühschütz from the Applied Sport Science department."
