We are pleased to announce that our research assistant and doctoral candidate, Julia Schwender, completed a research exchange at the University of Queensland in Brisbane in March 2024. This significant opportunity was part of her ongoing work abroad, aimed at enhancing her research capabilities and academic development.
During her visit, Julia collaborated closely with her mentor, Dr. Vanessa Wergin, gaining comprehensive insights into the research team led by Professor Cliff Mallett. This experience allowed Julia to engage with advanced research methodologies and innovative approaches within her field.
A key aspect of Julia’s exchange was presenting the current status of her dissertation project. She received valuable feedback from her mentors and colleagues, which has been instrumental in refining her research focus. The constructive critique provided new perspectives and strategies for advancing her dissertation work.
Additionally, Julia, Dr. Vanessa Wergin, and Franziska Mayer, who also participated in an administrative exchange, were involved in producing a promotional video for the "TUM Campus Lauf." in order to enhance engagement and participation in the event.
Julia’s time at the University of Queensland was marked by substantial professional growth, insightful experiences, and valuable networking opportunities. The exchange has significantly contributed to her academic progress, and we look forward to potential future collaborations that build on this foundation.
Julia’s experience underscores the importance of international exchanges in fostering academic excellence and advancing research initiatives.
