About me
I am fascinated by the question of how targeted nutrition – particularly collagen – can positively influence the function and health of various body tissues. In my research, I aim to better understand the benefits of collagen protein supplementation for athletes and patients, and how it can be used specifically to support recovery and performance.
Physical activity plays a central role not only in my scientific work but also in my personal life. I have been practicing martial arts for many years and have explored various disciplines – the longest being kickboxing, in which I hold a black belt. I also enjoy other sports and like to try new things, whether it’s swimming, running, or Olympic weightlifting – I simply enjoy discovering new ways to stay active.
I find the perfect balance to my professional life in the time I spend with my family – whether on bike tours, exploring nature, playing board games like “The Settlers of Catan”, or simply in our everyday family life. And even though I can’t remember one single song lyric, I enjoy going out and dancing to good music now and then.
