Ágota Mészáros studied medicine at Semmelweis University, and after becoming a medical doctor, she did a specialization in public health and prevention. Here she gained experience in teaching, the functioning of a public health system, and prevention practices on the population and personal level. She then worked at Syreon Research Institute as a researcher, gaining experience in systematic literature reviews and food-related research. She is currently a PhD student at the Center for Health Technology Assessment at Semmelweis University, under the supervision of Professor Zoltán Vokó, her topic is simulation modeling of food taxes and subsidies with health and environmental outcomes.
