Julia Schwender and Benedikt Perl, together with the team of the Chair of Preventive Paediatrics led by Barbara Reiner and Nils Olson, have successfully completed another run of the Mind Body Boost programme.
The intervention programme was jointly developed from a research consortium of eight European universities to empower mentally stressed students to achieve greater well-being through physical activity and psychoeducation. The psychoeducational part focused on teaching and practising mindfulness-based stress coping skills.
At the end of the intervention, the majority of students reported more relaxation in everyday life and improved self-regulation in stressful situations. The MBB app used for the scientific evaluation was also very well received by the students.
