Two conference prizes and successful workshop teaching of the TUM-PHP team at the 17th International Diabetes Epidemiology Symposium in Porto
Anna-Janina Stephan, Min Fan, Michael Hanselmann and Michael Laxy from the TUM Professorship of Public Health and Prevention taught a pre-conference workshop and presented current research projects at the International Diabetes Epidemiology Group Symposium (Porto Dec 2-5), a bi-annual conference of world-leading diabetes epidemiologists. The team additionally won two conference prizes for their scientific contributions.
Workshop Teaching: On the pre-conference workshop day, Michael Laxy, Michael Hanselmann and Anna-Janina Stephan taught a one-day course on ‘Evaluating intervention effectiveness using observational data and quasi-experimental designs” for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from across the globe.
