Elizabete Laivina has been part of our team since 2022, initially joining as a research intern. She completed her Master's thesis on the acute effects of low-carbohydrate versus standard diets on postprandial glucose responses in young adults and supported various projects as a student assistant throughout her studies. Since March 2025, she has been working as a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich and contributes her expertise as a nutrition scientist at the Bavarian Olympic Training Center (OSP Bayern).
Elizabete completed her Bachelor's degree in Human Biology at the University of Latvia and recently earned her Master’s in Nutrition and Biomedicine at TUM. Her previous research experience includes work in breast cancer and gene panel development.
As a research assistant in our team, Elizabete supports a range of scientific projects and plays an active role in our collaboration with OSP Bayern. This partnership, which began in 2022, has recently been extended and expanded for the upcoming Olympic cycle (2025–2028), further strengthening the connection between research and elite sport.
