Prof. Dr. Matthias Richter

Zur Person

Matthias Richter studierte Soziologie und Psychologie an der Universität Bielefeld, wo er 2004 in Soziologie promovierte. Anschließend war er wissenschaftlicher Assistent und Geschäftsführer des WHO Collaborating Centre for Child and Adolescent Health Promotion an der Fakultät für Gesundheitswissenschaften der Universität Bielefeld. Nach seiner Habilitation wechselte er auf eine Assistenzprofessor an das Institut für Sozial- und Präventivmedizin der Universität Bern. Vor seinem Ruf an die TUM war er 11 Jahre Direktor des Instituts für Medizinische Soziologie an der Medizinischen Fakultät der MLU Halle-Wittenberg.
