Comparative analysis of social and digital determinants of health regarding the access to and use of digital health in Germany and France (Acronym: CASDoH)
Background and Objectives:
The CASDoH project (Comparative Analysis of Social and Digital Determinants of Health regarding the Access to and Use of Digital Health in Germany and France) is a collaborative project between the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Institut Pierre Louis d‘Épidémiologie et de Santé Publique at Sorbonne Université Paris (Dr. Maria Melchior & Dr. Camille Davisse-Paturet). The project analyses the social and digital determinants of health that influence access to and use of digital health solutions in Germany and France. It focuses on social inequalities, sociodemographic factors, education, digital literacy, and regional disparities. Additionally, the project aims to map and compare key aspects of healthcare access in relation to digital health solutions.
Project structure and Methodology:
The project includes a literature review (hybrid systematic-narrative review) to analyze existing research on the social and digital health determinants in Germany and France. In addition, two scientific workshops will be conducted: The first workshop will focus on discussing the results of the review and its implications, while the second will synthesize the findings of the collaboration and contribute to the development of a joint research agenda. Both workshops will involve additional experts to enhance the discussion. The findings will be published in scientific journals and serve as a foundation for a follow-up joint research proposal.
