Zur Person
Karl ist seit März 2021 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Public Health und Prävention der TUM. Zuvor war er Doktorand in der Arbeitsgruppe „Economics and Management of Diabetes“ von Prof. Dr. Michael Laxy am Institut für Gesundheitsökonomie und Management im Gesundheitswesen am Helmholtz Zentrum München. In 2024 hat Karl seinen PhD in „Medical Research in Epidemiology and Public Health“ der Munich Medical Research School an der LMU München über die Evaluation von Public Health Maßnahmen mit Hilfe von Simulationsmodellen abgeschlossen. Karl hat außerdem einen M.Sc. in Public Health von der LMU München und einen B.A. in Sozialökonomie der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. International ist Karl zudem in Projekte des Department of Public Health, Policy and Systems am Institute of Population Health der University of Liverpool und des Emory Global Diabetes Research Center der Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia involviert.
