Prof. Dr. Kyle Bunds

Research Interests: Prof. Dr. Bunds’ research and teaching examines the connection between sport and the environment generally, and sport, water, and air pollution specifically. Prof. Dr. Bunds’ primary research interests center on the need for long-term sustainable solutions to environmental crises. He also has an interest in political, economic, social, and communicative factors. Prof. Dr. Kyle Bunds visited the Chair of Sport and Health Management from April 2018 to September 2018.
Dr. Hsueh-wen Chow
Professor at the Institute of Physical Education, Health and Leisure Studies at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan
Research Interests: Hsueh-wen Chow holds a doctoral degree in Leisure Studies with a minor in Gerontology from the Pennsylvania State University, United States. Dr. Chow’ primary research interests center on the relationship between leisure and health promotion, especially active aging, covering topics in the domains of physical activity, active living, outdoor fitness equipment in parks, and wearable devices.
Prof. Dr. Bettina Cornwell

Research Interests: Prof. Dr. Bettina Cornwells' research focuses on marketing communications and consumer behavior with international and public policy emphases. Her research on corporate sponsorship of sports, arts, and charity has frequently appeared in renown journals and she received the American Marketing Association Sports Marketing and Special Events Special Interest Group's award for Distinguished Contributions to the Scientific Understanding of Sports Business in 2009 for her contribution to the scientific understanding of the sports business. Prof. Dr. Bettina Cornwell visited the Chair of Sport and Health Management in July 2017 as well as on other occasions in recent years.
Prof. Dr. Geoff Dickson
Department of Management, Sport and Tourism, La Trobe Business School, La Trobe University
Research Interests: Prof. Dr. Geoff Dicksons' research focuses on interorganizational relations in sports. He is further interested in systematically oriented governance (especially connected with power structures as well as cooperation and competition) in sports actors and sports networks. He is an expert in the fields sport sponsorship, sport marketing, and sport consumer behavior. Prof. Dr. Geoff Dickson visited the Chair of Sport and Health Management in December 2015.
Prof. Dr. Marijke Taks
Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Human Kinetics, University of Ottawa
Research Interests: Prof. Dr. Marijke Taks’ area of expertise is in socio-economic aspects of sport and leisure. Her grant-supported research focuses particularly on impacts, outcomes, and leveraging of small and medium-sized sport events, and their meaning for host communities. She also studies sport consumer behavior of various groups in society. Mass participation and the “Sport for All” philosophy guide her research. She visited the Chair of Sport and Health Management in July 2014.
Prof. Dr. Tianan Yang
Department of Organization and Human Resource, School of Management and Economics, Bejing Institute of Technology
Research Interests: Prof. Dr. Tianan Yangs' research focuses on workplace health promotion in general and with providers of health services in particular. Topics like stress management, aging, occupational health and safety, healthcare management, industrial and organizational psychology are central to his research. Prof. Dr. Tianan Yang is visiting the Chair of Sport and Health Management as a guest professor from May to September 2019.
