Remarks on the VHB module Sponsorship-linked Marketing (online lecture/exercise)
The online module "sponsorship-linked marketing" has been offered since winter 2014/15 and can be accessed via VHB (Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern). It is being offered during both the winter and the summer semester. The module targets students with majors in sport science, management, culture science, and interdisciplinary subjects (e.g., sport management, culture management). Both Master and Bachelor students can register for the class. However, we assume that students have gained basic knowledge in marketing prior to registration.
The module consists of 12 online lectures and exercises. In the lectures, students gain theoretical knowledge about the state of the art in sponsorship-linked marketing (such as sport sponsorship). The topic is highly relevant in sports, because sport organizations and athletes rely on support offered by sponsors. The exercises help students apply theoretical knowledge to real life cases.

After successful participation of the module (sponsorship-linked marketing) you will receive 6 ECTS. TUM students majoring in "Bewegung und Gesundheit" (movement and health) can earn credits to be used in the "Wahlpflichtbereich." All TUM students can register for the module and for the exam via TUMonline (so that the module appears in their transcript of records). However, students always need to register (as well) with the VHB.
