Short Summary

The school can make a decisive contribution with regard to health promotion and strengthening health literacy. Against this background, the guideline "Health-competent school" was developed, in which a "health-competent school" is described in eight standards. These are based on the concept of the health-competent school, which was developed in the GeKoOrg-Schule research project. Different areas of action and design of the school organization and everyday school life are shown, which can contribute to the strengthening of health competence in the living environment school.
