Health literacy of children and adolescents
The project on health literacy of children and adolescents was launched in 2023 and will run for three years until 2025. Donau University Krems, Gesundheit Österreich GmbH and TU Munich are jointly developing a child- and adolescent-centered conceptual health literacy model. In the research process, children and adolescents will be actively involved as co-researchers in order to incorporate their experiences and perspectives. In addition, this research approach will gain further knowledge about participatory research with children and adolescents.
The project is funded by the Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung Niederösterreich within the "Research, Technology and Innovation Strategy" (RTI Strategy) and is assigned to the field of action "Basic Research Public Health". The project is led by the Donau University Krems, which carries out the project in cooperation with Gesundheit Österreich GmbH and TUM.
