Dr. Iva Glibo

Professional career
Iva Glibo received her Master’s degree from the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb with an emphasis on sport psychology. During her studies, she spent a semester at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. She obtained her second Master’s degree from the University of Peloponnese and the International Olympic Academy in the Master´s Program “Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organization and Management of Olympic Events” where her research focused on international sport and physical activity policies. Following her stay in Greece, she moved to Germany where she worked at several international organisations in the field of sport and development. Currently she is a Committee Member at ENGSO Youth, the only European-wide organisation that works at the nexus of sport and youth. Iva likes aesthetic sports and yoga and enjoys an occasional run in her freetime. She joined the Chair of Sport and Health Management as a PhD student in January 2020 and worked there until August 2023. In 2022, she has spent three months at the Western University in Canada as a visiting researcher. In 2023, she finishes her PhD with the title "Strategic sustainable development in sport organisations".
Research interests
Iva’s research interests focus on the sustainability in international sport. In particular, she studies how sustainability is perceived by various stakeholders in international sport and physical activity, and reflected in their policies. As well, she is interested in exploring the underlying scientific evidence for sustainable efforts in sport and physical activity.
