Jennifer Yang

Professional career
Jennifer Yang completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology (B.Sc.) at Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan. She received her master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (M.Sc.) from National Chengchi University, Taiwan. During her studies, she has spent one year at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Jennifer Yang is an active swimmer and enjoys surfing. She joined the Chair of Sport and Health Management as a PhD student in December 2021 and stayed until August 2025. During her time as a PhD student, she has completed a multi-month stay at the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. In November 2025, she is expected to complete her dissertation with the topic “Development of the Healthy Cooking Scale.”
Research interests
In her research, Jennifer Yang is engaged in the development of a healthy cooking scale. Based on the definition of the construct, she developed a two-dimensional scale encompassing health-first cooking and flavor-first cooking. Also, she tested a nomological network, which includes the determinants and consequences of healthy cooking.
