In May and June of this year, our colleague Katharina Sterr visited the College of Public Health at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. During her research stay, she collaborated closely with Associate Professor Deborah Cragun, an expert in implementation science and Coincidence Analysis (CNA), a mathematical method for causal inference. To deepen her knowledge, Katharina attended the CNA workshop and conference held in May at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. There, she had the opportunity to learn from Michael Baumgartner, who developed this method, and his team, the leading experts from the CNA working group at the University of Bergen. Katharina is now part of the international “All Things Configured” working group and made significant progress in her research throughout her two-month stay, thanks to the highly valuable exchanges. Beyond her professional experiences, she also enjoyed the perfect summer weather, spent time on the countless beaches, kayaked through the mangroves, and developed a love for iced coffee.
