During their doctoral program, doctoral candidates should actively participate in the academic environment of the TUM. Doctoral candidates who have an employment contract with the TUM as a research or teaching assistant or member of the academic staff are already participating on a formal basis. Doctoral candidates with scholarships or other contracts, or those who finance their doctoral studies themselves, must demonstrate their active participation through suitable measures and actions. Your supervisor will help you to get actively involved at TUM, e.g. by teaching classes and courses, regular attendance at events offered by the chair, and formal participation in research projects. The FGZ-SG will also assist you in finding suitable types of active participation. As part of the interim evaluation, you must also give an account of your active participation.
